Key Accountabilities:
You will be allocated a claims portfolio, or will be delegated claims work on a daily basis, dependant on volume. This role is a customer interfacing role, and will also require strong communication skills with internal stakeholders also.
• All claim processing within motor claims department
• Interpretation of product disclosure statements to determine indemnity, liability and quantum
• Establish the required and correct details for proof of ownership/repair reports
• Input data into all required systems in a timely and accurate manner
• Early identification of potential Investigation or Recovery action
• Effectively negotiate settlement and replacements with customer
Skills and experience required:
• You MUST have previous insurance experience
• Knowledge of general insurance products and principles and underwriting
• Knowledge of legislative or industry requirements e.g. Code of Practice requirements, Privacy Act, GST legislation
• Exceptional customer service, preferably in a call centre environment
• Strong negotiation skills and high level of resilience
• High level of communication skills
