Project Manager

A Project Manager is required for IT Security Infrastructure projects based in the CBD. You will be familiar with the setting up and delivery of data centre power remediation and decommissioning, desktop refreshes and server and Firewall installation. This role will be involve a large amount of client interaction, so previous experience in client and stakeholder management would be essential to succeed in this role.

Duties

• Managing the end to end processes of IT Security infrastructure projects including networking.
• Must have a sound working knowledge in the areas of finance, planning, forecasting and personnel management across a large team
• Ability to articulate, compare, and implement solutions and alternative approaches based upon project management principles
• Negotiate effectively with team members to define goals, work content and schedules
• Communicate team results to management/project managers
• Must be able to organise and communicate resource needs and project issues with ease
• Ability to recognise and provide timely solutions to complex problems related to the project in hand
• Apply creativity and judgment in the development of multiple solutions related to project objectives
• Not afraid to challenge the validity of given procedures and processes with a view toward enhancement or improvement
• Analyse problems and create solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools and solution components

 

Experience

• Considerable experience in large infrastructure projects in the Banking & Finance industry
• Very strong Infrastructure experience in the banking application and data centre environment - highly desired
• Experience in Data centre fit-outs including network, power, SAN and infrastructure hardware and managing related dependencies
• Experience in Virtual Environments will be well regarded
