Unix Integration Designers

This role concentrates on the design of software including servers, storage, workstations, middleware, database, non-application software, networks, security, and the physical facilities that support the applications and business processes required by the client. Role Description:

• The Integration Designer is focused on software solutions and designs to support the business processes/applications required by the client. They may include single or multiple software platforms.
• The Integration Designer may also assist the Technical Solution Architect in providing detailed expertise enabling the assembly of a complete solution for that project.
• The associated skills required for the Integration Designer include:
  • Develop Set of Non-Functional Requirements from Business & IT
  • Perform IT Integration Designer Assessment
  • Design Conceptual Software Model
  • Design Specified Software Model
  • Design Software Model
  • Develop Software Component Specifications
  • Analyse Viability of Integration Designer
  • Perform Vendor / Product / Design / Implementation Tools Selection

Desired Experience:

• Strong experience across Unix
• Experience in interpreting architectural requirements, and designing end to end solutions across diverse operating systems, storage, middleware, network and security, while utilising input from technical SMEs.
• Demonstrated experience in Windows Active Directory enterprise-wide deployments and migrations at technical design, specialist and support levels.
• Experience with Microsoft products such as MS Exchange Server, MS SQL Server, MS HIS Server, IIS Server, MS ISA Server, Netware
• Demonstrated experience designing and solutioning AIX operating system and pSeries infrastructure including virtualisation Technologies.
• Sound knowledge of Storage technologies including N-Series, SANs, EMC, DS Technologies.
• Knowledge of LAN, WAN, VLAN and networking technologies, components and protocols.
