Senior Java Developer

Our client is looking for a Senior Java Developer, who has extensive experience working in large complex and diverse IT environments; You become an integral member of a multi disciplinary team in a rapidly changing project environment. You will be responsible for the design, programming and testing of complex business specifications; the successful candidates will make a positive contribution to team decision making on design issues and share knowledge with fellow team members.

To be successful you must be able to demonstrate the following:

• At least 6 years of solid Java/J2EE development experience 
• Web application development experience delivering Java/J2EE applications using technologies, such as: Spring, Struts, Hibernate, JSP, Servlet, Ant/Maven, AJAX, JMS, Webservices, XML, PDF generators 
• Strong understanding of J2EE application & web servers eg Weblogic, tomcat, apache
• Solid understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design architecture modeller (UML, XSD) 
• Proven experience with interfacing to relational databases (particularly Oracle, SQL Server) 
• Experience with Agile and Feature Driven development methodologies
• Ability to couch and mentor
