Human Resources and Health, Safety and Environment Advisor

Our Client, a global leader in the manufacture and maintenance of specialised mining equipment, has an opportunity for a highly experienced Human Resources and Health, Safety and Environment Advisor to join their Mackay team. The responsibilities of the role encompasses overseeing all processes and procedures undertaken by the Human Resources and Health, Safety and Environment Advisor function. Managing a broad range of human resource and health, safety and environment operational and compliance functions for QLD operations including recruitment and selection, employee relations, training, performance management, occupational health and safety and diversity management will be just some of the duties required of the successful candidate.

Key responsibilities of the role will be:

*Developing and maintaining effective business relationships with all team members employed within the organisation
*Ensuring that all activities required by your role are undertaken with the highest regard and in accordance with relevant legislative, client and company requirements
*Assisting company managers with writing and the implementation of development programs
*Participation in HR/HSE/WHS investigations when deemed necessary
*Establishing and maintaining best practise audit and reporting plans in accordance with industry standards and company guidelines
*Recruitment and Selection
*Performance management of team members
*Organisation, implementation and delivery of training sessions
*Providing team members with assistance and accurate information regarding employee relations issues
*Audit and compliance implementation and management
*Reporting

The ideal candidate will have:

*Tertiary qualifications in HR/HSE or related business discipline
*Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
*A Current drivers licence
*At least five years HR/HSE industry experience
*The ability to prioritise, multi task and work effectively to meet deadlines
*Excellent communication skills
*Proficiency in Microsoft office suite of products
*The desire to work in a dual role with a focus on both HR and HSE (imperative to the success of your application)
