Theatre Orderly

Theatre Orderly - must be experienced - 2-3 week contract.

Working as a civilian with the Department of Defence is a dynamic and unique experience.

Currently, we have an 2-3 week vacancy for a theatre orderly at Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera.

The Patient Care Assistant is a non-regulated care provider who provides a supporting role by assisting the nursing staff and other health care professionals to deliver care in the emergency, ward and perioperative environment. The primary area of assistance is in manual handling tasks including participation in lifting, transfer and positioning of patients on designated mobile equipment.


Qualifications and Experience

Mandatory Criteria
a. Manual Handling training;
b. Demonstrated ability to undertake manual handling responsibilities;
c. Current knowledge and education in manual handling practices;
d. Familiarity with hospital, medical/surgical procedures and terminology; and
e. Current First Aid Certificate.
f. MUST HAVE AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP
