Civil Engineer | Stormwater Drainage | Designer

An urgent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Design Project Officer  that will have you influencing our water strategies for the future, whilst enjoying the balance between work and lifestyle that only a local council body can provide.

The Technical Services Department is an in-house service provider for  planning, design, survey, mapping and materials testing. They provide professional services in relation to, general infrastructure, waste management, road works, bridges, car parking, stormwater and environmental works, buildings, social infrastructure and structures, streetscape works, sports recreational facilities and municipal (maintenance) services.

As their Senior Design Project Officer in Stormwater you will have the following experience and personal attributes:

Mandatory qualifications / experience:

A degree in Civil Engineering
A minimum of 6 years experience in stormwater analysis, modelling and design, for both urban and green field stormwater systems.
Demonstrated experience in stormwater drainage systems and ability to produce construction documentation.
Experience with the following technical software i.e. hydraulic, hydrologic and Geographic Information System (GIS) software including: TUFLOW, Mike Series, URBS, ArcGIS and MUSIC.

Ideally, you would have held a similar position within government or private sector, you will demonstrate the ability to coordinate services and lead a team of skilled professionals to achieve desired outcomes. You will be familiar with developing projects and planning strategies for the implementation and delivery of policy and plans and demonstrate a strong technical knowledge associated with integrated stormwater projects.

This is a 12 month contract role will have you working along side an energetic team who are passionate about being constantly innovative in their planning and delivery.
