Control Systems Engineer
Due to the ongoing growth of our regional offices our Client has an opportunity for a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join their Mackay team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be accountable for the design, development, testing and commissioning of systems projects for our manufacturing and industrial client base in accordance with appropriate business and engineering standards. The Control Systems Engineer will also importantly promote a healthy success orientated and cohesive team.
Key components of this role will include:
*Perform electrical engineering services (quote, design, test, commission)
*Work as a part of a team on large engineering or turnkey projects providing engineering services within skills sets and competencies held by the employee.
*Manage jobs and project work where the employee is assigned the role of Job owner.
*Understand the technical specification of the work assigned and clarifying issues with Senior Engineers as the case may be.
*Complete work to a high standard within set timeframes.
*Manage costs within budget and delivery schedules on jobs managed by the employee.
*Discuss concepts and ideas with Senior Engineers when necessary.
*Clarify scope and technical issues with customers as required.
*Liaises with customers in respect of current projects as required ensuring to enhance the image of business through effective communication.
*Ensure all projects are well documented.
*Document effectively both the technical and commercial aspects of all jobs.
Selection Criteria:
*Electrical Engineering Degree.
*5 years + post Graduate/Trade experience.
*Experience in control system design and commissioning within heavy industry (mining, bulk handling environment).
*Advanced Microsoft office skills (word, outlook, powerpoint, excel)
*Experience with engineering specific software including AutoCAD.
*Well developed written and communication skills.
*Initiative, Tenacity, Positive Attitude, Honesty and Integrity.
*Previous experience working within strict HSE standards and guidelines.
*Current manual drivers licence
All applicants must have valid working rights within Australia. The nature of the Clients business is such that you may be required to travel from your home base intrastate and interstate to carry out work from time to time. Please note that this position is NOT FIFO and only applicants who already reside or are planning on moving to Mackay should they be successful in their application need apply.
