Indigenous Liaison Consultant QLD
Chandler Macleod is leading the way in Indigenous Employment and Engagement. Consequently, we are seeking an Indigenous Liaison Consultant to work with our diverse client base in Queensland to place Indigenous Australians into ongoing work.In this role, on a day to day basis - you can expect to:
- Source and assess Indigenous Australians for various job opportunities across Queensland
- Work with and support local Chandler Macleod branches to continually identify and source Indigenous candidates for current and future vacancies
- Continually develop and promote Chandler Macleod’s Indigenous Employment & Engagement Strategy
- Build and maintain community relationships, ensuring effective networking and communication
- Regular and ongoing liaison with Job Services Australia providers and Indigenous Employment Program partners
- Deliver innovative solutions to internal and external stakeholders in the areas of recruitment, mentoring and cultural awareness training
To be successful this role, you will possess:
- Demonstrated knowledge of Indigenous Australian culture and protocols
- A genuine passion for creating and supporting sustainable employment opportunities for Indigenous Australians
- Proven experience of ongoing engagement with Indigenous communities
- An understanding of Indigenous Employment & Training programs and funding channels, e.g. IEP, DEEWR
- Effective networking and communication skills
- Excellent stakeholder relationship management capability
