Senior SAP PI Developer

My client are looking for an experienced SAP PI Developer to join their team on a contract role for an initial duration of three months with a strong possibility to extend for a longer duration. If you are close to completing your current role this could be your next big opportunity!

You will be responsible for development, implementation with the PI components of the SAP Netweaver technology stack. You will also be required to perform production support, maintenance and project delivery roles.

Major responsibilities include:
- Be the PI integration specialist to ensure PI development and configurations are completed according to standards and conventions
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert providing advice to technical specialists and business analysts in relation to integration with SAP systems
- Liaise with key stakeholders and the functional teams
- Mentor and provide training for other team members
- Participate in development strategy and development plans
- Convert functional specifications to technical specifications, and writing technical specifications for new interfaces as well as enhancements
- Developing and unit testing approved SAP ABAP and interface enhancements
- Monitor PI interface queues, messages and alerts in all SAP systems, providing support to all inbound/outbound SAP Interfaces

Skills required:
- Extensive SAP PI (preferably in SAP PI 7.1 or above) experience working on multiple full life cycle implementations with large clients in complex projects
- Hands on experience in PI performance tuning, alert framework and Advanced Adapter Engine
- Strong experience in PI Adapter configuration - JMS, SOAP, File Content Conversion and IDoc
- Technical hands on experience in working with complex message transformations and configurations, including XSL transformation, User Defined Functions and Java (DOM, SAX) mapping
- Functional experience or knowledge in SAP ERP (HCM, FI/CO), SAP SCM (EM) and SAP CRM will be advantageous
- Experience in all aspects of implementations including initial requirements gathering, program design and build, user training, go live support, production support and problem resolution
- Strong mentorship demonstrated in behaviour and in all forms of communication
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
