Hardware Technician

Our client is a national leader in the design and manufacture of mining and industrial electronics.

Currently they are seeking a Hardware Technician who will be responsible for physical electronics assembly as well as other production activities which includes raising, ordering, assembly and testing of product work orders. In addition, you will also be responsible for maintaining accurate product manufacturing documentation, service and repair of company products. You will also have a strong relationship with the Production and R&D teams.

Successful candidates will have the following skills and attributes:

• Sound electrical and electronic theory in analogue and digital areas
• Able to understand schematic, wiring and PCB files and diagrams
• Exemplary computer literacy skills and the ability to learn new software quickly
• Excellent documentation and technical writing skills
• Experience with electronic and mechanical assembly and good practises in this area, i.e. Soldering, conformal coatings, glues and epoxies, fasteners, drilling, cutting, filing etc.
• Apply previous experience and ingenuity to improve production efficiency, product quality and consistency.

Successful candidates will have completed a Certificate IV Electrical/ Electronic Engineering and at least 2 years experience in manufacturing and/or servicing electronic devises.
