Senior Electrical Drafter

Our client is ever moving forward to improve and upgrade our network of Queensland infrastructure to account for our growing population. Coupled with this growth is the demand for a Senior Electrical Drafter, to join our client and continue to build QLD’s future. With a diverse range of small and large scale infrastructure and rolling stock projects to work on; now is the time to build upon your electrical design portfolio of work.

As the Senior Electrical Drafter, you will have experience in the following areas:
• Demonstrated knowledge in the Electrical space, ideally High Voltage, Transaction Distribution and Power Systems
• Solid experience in preparing and modifying critical power systems sectioning drawings, layouts and isolation instructions
• Plan and process power systems prelim print requests plus assist in the development and testing of remote terminal unit configurations.
• Ability to prepare power system drawings & comply with regulatory standards
• Excellent communication and have the ability to liaise closely with key stakeholders and infrastructure representatives

Role requirements:
•   Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Solid demonstrated experience in preparing drawings and design documentation using Microstation, CAD, Auto-CAD and manual drafting techniques.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Australian Rail Power Standards
• Knowledge of railway power would be highly advantageous
