The Mettle Leadership Gauge (MLG), a sister tool of the Mettle Culture Gauge (MCG), supports the development of leadership in alignment with an organisation’s strategy. It helps leaders to understand those behaviours which are either enhancing or limiting their ability to contribute and perform and therefore make an informed choice about how they need to be different.

• The MLG is an on-line 360 degree instrument used to measure and provide feedback on how well a leader’s behaviours align with the organisational Target Culture and the performance of the business as a whole.
• We have found 21 qualities to be valuable for those in leadership positions. The MLG is a statistically valid tool which measures the perceived pattern of behaviour within these 21 qualities. All the qualities are positive and desirable. The MLG reveals the extent to which the behaviours making up each quality are demonstrated. This provides a deeper understanding of which behaviours are either enhancing or limiting an individual’s performance as a leader.
• The 21 qualities are grouped into 6 clusters. Five of the clusters support specific organisational strategies, while the sixth cluster contains qualities that provide the foundation for any leadership situation.
